Privacy Statement
Last updated: May 23, 2026
This statement explains how CuraMuse handles information related to the curamuse.app website and the CuraMuse app for iOS and macOS.
Controller and contact
CuraMuse is a project created to provide a personal art collection app and an official journey catalog. For privacy questions, you can write to contact@curamuse.app.
Data managed in the app
CuraMuse lets you create, import, and organize information related to a personal collection: artworks, artists, museums, rooms, journeys, notes, sources, images, and thumbnails. This information is stored locally on your devices.
If you enable iCloud sync, this data may be synchronized through your Apple iCloud account. CuraMuse does not control the iCloud infrastructure, and the CuraMuse publisher does not have access to the content stored in your iCloud account.
When you request imports from public sources, such as Wikipedia, the app may query those services from your device. Those services may receive technical information related to the request.
Website and official catalog
The curamuse.app website publishes information pages and an official journey catalog that can be downloaded by the app. When you visit the website or download the catalog, the hosting infrastructure may process technical information required to provide the service, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, request date, and request time.
The public website does not set advertising cookies and does not include an audience analytics tool in its current version.
Contact messages
If you contact CuraMuse by email, your address, the message content, and the information needed to follow up on the request are used to reply and manage the exchange.
Information sharing
CuraMuse does not sell your personal data. Information may be processed by technical providers only when needed to operate the service, including Apple for the App Store and iCloud, the website host for serving pages and the catalog, email providers for contact messages, or the public sources you intentionally query from the app.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law or to protect the security of the service.
Retention and control
Collection data remains under your control on your devices and, if sync is enabled, in your iCloud account. You can edit or delete the information you manage in the app and disable iCloud sync from Apple settings.
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request. Website technical logs are retained according to the security, operations, and diagnostic needs of the hosting service.
Changes
This statement may be updated to reflect changes to CuraMuse, the website, or applicable requirements. The update date shown at the top of the page identifies the published version.
